Northamptonshire Care Home Saved From Closure

In light of recent negative press surrounding the care industry, specialist care agents DC Care are particularly pleased to report a good news, success story.

DC Care received instructions from the administrators Moorfields Corporate Recovery to find a purchaser for The Meadows Nursing Home in Yardley Gobion near to Towcester, Northamptonshire. If a suitable purchaser could not be found within a very short timeframe closure was the most likely outcome, and residents would face the upheaval of moving to an alternative home.

Andy Sandel of DC Care commenced a high profile marketing campaign which resulted in an incredible level of interest in this 30 bed home. Speaking about the process Andy commented “We are regularly involved in this type of process, but I can honestly say that The Meadows drew more offers than we would normally expect. The successful purchaser an experienced local operator, showed a huge amount of determination to acquire this care home, and ultimately to save it from being closed. In an industry that seems to be constantly under fire, it’s really satisfying to be able to highlight some good news for a change.”

Formerly The Meadows renamed Highcroft Manor.

"When I met Alison, I was keen to find the right people to operate the home. We are local and it mattered a great deal who we worked with. Alison was professional, knowledgeable and importantly, kept her word. She understood exactly what we were looking for and was able to advise us every step of the way. I am looking forward to working with her again, should the opportunity arise."
