DC Care Sponsors HCA Care Awards

On Friday 20th November the annual Hampshire Care Awards took place at Southampton Golf Club. The evening kicked off with drinks and a 3 course meal, followed by the award presentation, compered by Martin Bell of Real Recruitment Solutions and finished up with music and dancing.

The nominating process took place a few months ago and then at the end of October each of the categories was blind judged by the company that sponsored that category. Each of the sponsors were sent a pile of nomination forms with all of the names blacked out so it could be judged completely anonymously. They then narrowed the pile of entries down to 5 finalists in each category (3 in the nurse category as there are fewer nursing homes) and then chose a winner and a runner up from those finalists.

DC Care sponsored the Hampshire Hero Award, won by Julie Azima from Forest Brow, Liss, with Martin Hay from St Ronans, Southsea the Runner up. DC Care would like to congratulate all of the award winners, runners up and finalists as listed below.

"Andy Sandel and the team at DC Care handled the negotiations expertly and we reached a satisfactory agreement in January 2013 when the legal work was handed over to a specialist healthcare solicitor on the recommendation of DC Care. The solicitor DC Care recommended was highly experienced in handling both sales and purchases of care homes and using him for the sale proved to be an extremely good decision."
